Zenith installed three new 1.3 MW/13.8 kV natural gas generators in parallel with a medium voltage paralleling switchboard for peak shaving of the local utility at the Fort Bliss Military Base in El Paso, Texas. The new system is connected to an existing utility substation and operates during high utility demand times to reduce the overall base utility consumption. Operation is controlled via a base-wide energy management system.
